INTRODUCE

While espresso machines and modern Italian coffee menu items are gaining popularity, manual coffee extraction with hand brewing tools has always had a place in the market. With a long history of coffee, each place has a unique manual coffee preparation method that creates a distinct coffee flavor.

 

The SCA Brewing Course - Manual Coffee Brewing with Hand Brewing Equipment EXPLAINS THE PHYSICAL AND SCIENTIFIC PROBLEMS behind the extraction in each tool.

The course at D'codeS with interactive comment - live discussion, helps students understand the essence of the problem, thereby having the ability to customize to create the desired flavor.

The course is suitable for everyone, as long as you have a passion for coffee, or simply want to learn and systematize preparation skills that are easy to apply at home or when going out.

ADVANCED KEYS:

  • Understand at a level how the extraction process and brewing method using different tools, for example: V60, French Press, Aeropress, Turkish, Syphon, ... including traditional Vietnamese Phin coffee.

  • Practice with each type of equipment in each session.

  • Basic understanding of Immersion and Gravity Methods.

  • Learn about the relationship of extraction and mechanical correction of the coffee extraction process

  • Understand the basic influence of grinding size on each type of tool and coffee quality.

  • Improve skills on how to use manual brewing methods such as V60, French Press, Aeropress, ...

  • Provides more in-depth information on Immersion, Gravity, Vaccumm and Pressure Methods

  • Updated detailed knowledge of chemical and physical reactions during manual extraction.

  • Improve your knowledge of scientifically measuring the strength of coffee

  • Extraction charting for brewing/extracting coffee, extraction plan for each instrument.

  • Improve your skills in analyzing, comparing, and contrasting handcrafted coffee and espresso.

  • Fix brewing problems for accurate and balanced extraction

  • Increase awareness about the influence of grind size, roast degree on each type of tool and coffee quality.
